Life within a family is full of stages and experiences. Each stage can feel unfamiliar and the path isn’t always clear. Sometimes a word of advice or a new perspective is all that is needed to help navigate the journey. That’s when community is essential.

God created all of us to live in community – to share in the journey of life together. Every day, we receive prayer requests from people like you and see the care families have for other families. That’s why we are developing creative and meaningful ways for families to impact those they are in community with.

To do this, we will launch a marriage mentoring initiative, modify our core programs like Marriage Connection, and increase the awareness of How to Drug Proof Your Kids™ and The Truth Project® programs. That way, families will have even more tools to enable them to live life together – whether in a small group, at church or in a neighbourhood mom’s group.

The local church serves a key role in the life of a family as they help to equip parents in the spiritual discipleship of children. That’s why we are committed to supporting the church in preparing parents to share their faith at home. We want to inspire church leaders to address issues of the family and, as needed, provide assistance and resources to help them.

God has placed a deep desire within our hearts to see support for the family multiplied throughout this country. And as the needs within families are growing rapidly, we feel that Focus on the Family Canada must also grow to effectively meet these needs.
